DAKAR 2025 A THRILLING CHALLENGE FOR MOTORCYCLE RIDERS
The 2025 Dakar Rally will challenge motorcycle riders from January 3-17, starting in Bisha and finishing in Shubaytah. The route takes riders northward along the Red Sea coast before heading east into the Empty Quarter desert.
Riders will face a grueling two-week adventure across Saudi Arabia's most challenging terrain, including a prologue, marathon stages, and mass starts. The route features new territories and spectacular landscapes, testing both riding skill and navigation abilities.
KEY FEATURES FOR MOTORCYCLE COMPETITORS
START LINE AT BISHA
Motorcycle competitors will begin their journey from the Bisha bivouac on January 3rd, 2025. The base camp's strategic location, away from urban areas, provides an ideal environment for riders to complete their final preparations and technical checks.
ENHANCED SAFETY PROTOCOLS
The 2025 edition introduces separate courses for different vehicle categories in at least five stages. This crucial improvement eliminates the challenge of cars overtaking motorcycles, creating a safer and more focused riding environment.
THE 48H CHORNO CHALLENGE
Riders will tackle an intensive 950 km stage during the first week. This extended challenge tests not only riding capabilities but also navigation skills and endurance as participants spend the night in basic desert bivouacs.
DOUBLE MARATHON CHALLENGE
Self-sufficiency becomes paramount during two critical periods: the traditional marathon stage and the 48h chrono stage. With no access to support teams, motorcycle maintenance over 800+ km becomes a vital skill for success.
EMPTY QUARTER FINALE
The rally concludes with an intense three-day battle through the Empty Quarter, finishing in Shubaytah. Competitors will navigate challenging chotts and massive dunes, including a demanding 400 km special stage that will determine the champions.
Stay tuned for more updates and detailed information as we approach this historic event. Remember, success at the Dakar isn't just about reaching the finish line – it's about the journey, the learning, and the memories created along the way.
